Expands

Metropolitan Community Church Akron has opened the doors of their new office space. Community rap groups, counselling, and a drop in center are some of the services now available to the community through this new facility. The church has also begun working in cooperation with the AHEAD program of drug counselling, as well as the Morhley Health Clinic, and the Summit County Department of Public Health. The cooperation with these agencies is intended to facilitate providing numerous services on a referral basis to the Akron gay community, that might otherwise be closed to them. Bayou Landing

To Sponsor Local Contests

The BAYOU LANDING is sponsoring several contests during the month of October, entitled the 'Mr. Bayou Landing Contest,' and the 'Miss Bayou Landing Contest'. They will be similar to many contests sponsored by gay businesses around the country, and will hopefully draw Cleveland into the idea of clean competition with other cities, on different levels. These contests will be an opportunity to show off talents, personality, ⚫ and of course, bodies. The winner of the Miss Bayou Landing Contest will go on to represent Cleveland in the Miss Gray Ohio Contest, and the Miss David Contest. The winner of the Mr. Bayou Larding Contest will represent Cleveland in the Mr. CBC (Club Baths Chain) Contest, the Mr. Gay Ohio Contest, and the Mr. David Contest. People interested in entering these contests can pick up information and entry forms at the Bayou Landing, 1012 Sumner Court, Cleveland

Gay Liberation Front, Dr. Dolores Noll. One of the scheduled highlights of the con. ference is a workshop concerning the Anthony Sullivan Defense, in which an American citizen was legally married to an Australian citizen. Both are men, and were married in Boulder, Colorado, by the Rev. Robert Sirico, an ordained minister of the Universal Fellowship of

Metropolitan Community Churches.

The marriage had become a test case in the courts, when An. thony Sullivan was refused per. mission to remain in the United States as the spouse of an American citizen, since the legality of the marriage is being challenged by the Federal government.
